The quickest way around this should be to make sure that both the
GEMSYS path and the BTFONTS path are in you X11 .config file. Here is
an example:
Section "Files"
# FontPath "unix/:7100" # local font server
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc:unscaled"
FontPath "/etc/X11/fonts/misc"
FontPath "/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/CID"
FontPath "/var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/truetype"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/type1"
FontPath "/etc/X11/fonts/Type1"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo"
FontPath "/etc/X11/fonts/Speedo"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi"
FontPath "/etc/X11/fonts/75dpi"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi"
FontPath "/etc/X11/fonts/100dpi"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/cyrillic"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1"
FontPath "/etc/X11/fonts/cyrillic"
EndSection
This does not solve the problem of being able to use both fonts from
TOS/GEM, just for X..
