Probably yes but I don't think it's necessary -- if one use sparemint,
there are only 68000 variants available (with a few exceptions like
libc, libm, cflib and gemlib). So if you release your new gcc with
this strict checking, nothing will be broken for old stuff -- for gcc
-o hello hello.c -lncurses -lreadline -lm still /usr/lib will be used
and for gcc -m68020-60 -o hello hello.c -lncurses -lreadline -lm error
will be printed as there are no 020+ variants of readline and ncurses.
This is what we want, isn't it?
