thank you for exhaustive information, esp. that TOS related parts!
Just a question:

Does it mean FireTOS (CF version of our CT60 TOS) is able to boot and
execute stuff from AUTO folder as well? Because all my attempts failed
in this way and only thing I see in sources is loading&executing boot
sector from MBR partitions...
