Not experienced any of the above here.

As mentioned in a previous email I have similar problems with vim
occasionally, but I think this is a vim problem with temporary files on
our platform.

This isn't a freeze but a side effect of the test it's doing.
Essentially, leave it for about 30 minutes :-)

I know the problem but it's a hard fix.
