The infoline has been standard height for 25 years.
I write programs for myself in which I put information in
the info line that is important to me and I dont want to be
confronted with a sudden change of taste by a implementor.
A different height suddenly distorts my experience with
my own programs. I simply can not accept that.
Nobody has the right to oppose such a experience
on me unless it is easy avoidable.

But what if someone likes to have the small infoline - AND likes to use
your tool?

I stated explicitely "programs for myself".
By which I mean programs I wont publish and hence
are unknown to others.

I wanted to make it clear that the change of look is not
a question that is subject too public agreement, it directly
affects someones personal space.

Is the person lost then?

"easy avoidable" means that there is choice.
