This is the behaviour of the old kernel.
Be sure to run the latest build, place alias r: u:/ram in mint.cnf and select drive R in
2in1. When this does not work, I don't know.
Just tested with zoo, works also, I don't (and don't want to) have stzip.
What is in u:/r?

There is no /u/ram.
