[MiNT] [ANNOUNCE] FreeMiNT 1.17.0 Released !

Hello all,

I have great pleasure in announcing that FreeMiNT 1.17.0 has been
released.

The CVS has been tagged with "freemint-1_17_0" in which binaries will be
available later.

This is a huge milestone for everyone involved after so many years
without a stable release.

It is my hope that we'll all continue to strive to make 1.18 even
better, but if the need arises we will release a 1.17.1 (or .2 and so
one) if bugs are discovered in the 1.17 release.

Let me know of any problems in the tarballs tomorrow and I can update as
quickly as possible. The binaries should also be uploaded to the
SpareMiNT site as soon as possible too.
