Hello, to all the MiNT/XaAES-users in France, Spain, Italy, Suisse or somewhere else in the world: We need your help for the planned multi-language support for XaAES (automatic and/or selectable). I have to prepare the resource-file so that all menus, buttons, boxes... are big enough for the different languages but i have no idea about the length of spanish or italian words and only poor knowledge in french computer-language. So it would be up to YOU to translate the strings in a simple textfile and send it back to me, i'll make a "fit-for-all" resource and Helmut does the major amount of work ;-) NOTES about the attached languages-file (xaaes009.rsl): 1. There are "language blocks", separated by " _ " lines, for each resource string. 2. Each block contains all the translations for this string. _ nn: About XaAES... english (default) de: Über XaAES... german fr: A propos de... french es: ... spanish it: ... italian _ Of course other languages are welcome, too; this is only the order of NVRAM language selection. 3. Many strings don't need to be translated (like "------------" or "Desk Accessory 1"). These blocks ONLY contain a line starting with "nn: ". So there's no work for you with these :-) 4. Near the end of the file are some strings (of window context menu) with "strange characters" in front of the words (like ¡, and ). These characters are ABSOLUTELY NECCESSARY, PLEASE DON'T DELETE THEM! An @ symbol in a line marks the maximum length for text. 5. Please take care of the length of translations (you don't want a dialog which needs two screens width, don't you?) ;-) 6. If you want to help translating, please give us a small post to mintlist so others know about your work. 7. It would be really great if you could translate xa_help.txt (attached), too. Please name your file "xa_help.xx", where xx is "fr" or "es" or "it" (language shortcut) and send me the files directly, not to MiNTlist. Regards, Lars
