Re: [MiNT] Packages needing rebuild for SpareMiNT???

Rebuilt GCC, PML, and FDLibM rpms:

Need to see what other libs need to be rebuilt, I think libz and OpenSSL, but at least OpenSSL (make) suffers from the dreaded malloc bug making RPMs builds really tough..... GCC is not as optimized as Miro's, but with the same parameters I have been using, which might need to change I guess, and the proper time for that would be with a new MiNTLib release, IMHO.

GCC (updated patch)

Sure. But it is a big task, so it may be a good idea to wait a bit for the next important patches, as you mentioned:
- malloc bug (affects make, maybe GCC too)
- removing libc_g and libc_pg (affects the MiNTLib and GCC)

Maybe Binutils

No real need.

PML (updated patch)

Sure, as well as *all* m68020-60 libraries since they are potentially incompatible with the previous ones.

FDLibM?

Same for it. However I never used it (yet).

If you have some time, you can rebuild GCC now. And rebuild the libraries. Future versions of GCC will be compatible with this one, you will not have to rebuild the libraries again.

You could even use MiKRO's binaries to rebuild the libraries.
