I can run XaAES in aranym out of EmuTOS using the EmuTOS-VDI, so this
might work on the firebee.

Possible, but then I can't start XaAES because xaloader is a 68k program
and with EmuTOS it's not possible to run 68k binaries ;)

If that would be all, you might compile xaloader for coldfire (CPU=v4e).

But there is also inline-asm and .s in XaAES, so it again might not work ...

Here's a v4e-xaloader:

What kind of VDI is this?

I actually don't know if FireTOS contains the original Falcon 4.04 VDI
or if it has fVDI. Didier?

From the bootlog it's not fvdi.

Guess it's a problem with the VDI. First I would disable the themes
(e.g.:img->gmi) and gradients and accs.

I've already tried this. It doesn't matter. The menu bar is also
correctly drawn when gradients is enabled, and the textures seems to be
loaded correctly.

Does it display anything at all (the logo or menubar for example)?

It displays everything, the complete desktop. Then it freeze.

Any click or mouse? Maybe it's in the event-loop or the keyboard-handler, or maybe it's just a crash.

Hard to tell.

Is it possible to boot into a CLI (INIT=/bin/sh)? If yes: does keyboard work?
