Don't know if that helps: With HDDriver, first create "normal" partitions (only
enter partition-size, NOT -types).
After partitioning, open Menu/Partition/Change type dialog. Change the type to LNX.
Reboot after that, now "mke2fs X:" should work (worked on my 2 Falcons). Don't forget
the "doublepoint" after the drive letter.
If not, perhaps try to change type (and mke2fs) of another partition (lower driveletter).
If you have a CD drive, some of the last drive letters may be in use from ExtenDOS or so...
