This is the standard way to do.

So the correct way to apply the patch is:

cd .../freemint
patch -p1 <pc.patch

In order to remove one level from the paths specified in the patch file.
I get the same error as Helmut when I check out a fresh copy and tries to apply the patch. Maybe I should make a new patch tonight?
