[MiNT] stat() succeeds on non-existent path terminated by a backslash

Hello.

I briefly reported a bug about stat() on another thread, here are the details.

This bug only affects plain TOS.

I filed it there, with a testcase:

I added all the details I found.

Alan, feel free to investigate further.

NB: I remember having had trouble with QED and tar with FreeMiNT, so I 
suspect there is another bug similar to this one somewhere else.
