As I said previously, I also reproduced that bug with ARAnyM-JIT and hostfs,almost every time. This is not related to the filesystems, but to subtlestartup timings.


After heavy investigation, I finally found the culprit: ARAnyM.
There was random bug at startup, when fVDI changes the video mode to 32-bit.

I filed a bug to ARAnyM, and I provided a patch:
http://sourceforge.net/p/aranym/bugs/36/

There is no bug in XaAES.
