LDG.PRG can be launch at (most) any time, even if the final desk has 
appeared. It installs a cookie and a TSR for ldg_open/close/find functions.

Good idea: with GEM=ROM in the mint.cnf -> same problem when trying to 
change screenmode with the TOS desktop.
So it's not related to XaAES, but the new MiNT (at least with my FireBee).

With option 3: FireTOS only, no problem.
