Thank you very much for this investigation, Vincent! Will this also be 
reverted in CVS?

I've uploaded some netsurf snapshots here:

However, I noticed some bug in my local build system, and so I
expect this isn't 100% coldfire yet. It will be my next task, I swear!

Also, I ommited the debug symbols, because now that the bug has been 
found,
I think it's not that important anymore.

There were some changes to the textarea redraw (also multiline), so 
people may
want to checkout the improvement.
