Yes, thats the problem with nearly all of this packages.

If you want to start with gcc 2.95 (after reading all other answers),
i think can provide a complete package. I think i have all needed
archives in my Atari software collection. Maybe the belgian ftp-server
is a good place?

It is not a question if a OS support C++. It is a question of all libs
support the OS calls.
