[MiNT] Freetype

Over the years I've used several apps on the Atari that have
used Freetype. I think the old Ghostsript used it, zView and
Netsurf.

I know nothing about Freetype and not much about the vdi so
sorry if this is a dumb question.

Would there be any benefit to having Freetype in the vdi
or as a plug-in to the vdi ?

I suppose it would mean that we don't and 3-4 versions of freetype
installed and they would all be using the same version.
