Re: [MiNT] Moving to Git

I don't do mint development but in my job I have used 6-7 different
version control apps over 25 years of development. Some of them
were awful and some of them made work easier.

Some of the teams in my office have used 3 vcs in 4 years and now
have started using git. Sometimes it feels like change for change
sake but I can't comment on git because I haven't used it.

I'm currently using Tortoise SVN. SVN from the command line would
probably be as bad as cvs but it's the nice Tortoise shell and it's
integration into the desktop that makes it easy to work with.

I started work on a simple GEM shell for cvs which I genericised
into a shell for any command line tool using windom.

I ran into difficulty trying to get a filename input field working
and stopped working on it for other reasons. I do use it for samba.

Regards,

Peter
