I've made some progress.  I was able to boot to sh which finally worked
when I renamed it to sh.tos.

>From there I was able to make the ext2 filesystem without issue
(manually).  From there I started to install easymint manually.  First
extracted the rootfs with tar and gzip and that went fine.  Then
initialized the rpm db and started to try to install rpms.  The issue
seems to be a memory or filesize issue.  I get the same error when I run
xaaes and run a few programs:

block_IO [G]: bio_readin: RWABS fail (-2))
block_IO [G]: bio_l_readin: leave failure, RWABS fail (-2)
block_IO [G]: bio_readin: RWABS fail (-2))
block_IO [G]: bio_l_readin: leave failure, RWABS fail (-2)

This is with Tos 2.06 and HD-Driver 9.08 (though I had similar issues
with other configurations).
