[Freemint-list] $TEMP or /tmp?

Depending on your application and their machine, users might be thankful 
if they can reroute $TMP (shouldn't that be $TEMPDIR as well?) to 
/dev/ram, for example. Miro's advice is a good one in my opinion as well.
