> No. DMAread() is about the only builtin TOS function able to do something
sensible with a hard disk and it's meant to bootstrap it. Earlier versions
had "unnamed" functionality to do this, but apparently Atari decided they
would need something more general in TOS > 2 with additional device types
(IDE, "true" SCSI) supported.
