 I remember that getcwd() was of trouble. Can't remember which values needed 
to be overridden, but you have to make sure that it is not replaced by the 
gnulib module, since that one assumes some posix functionality that mint/
mintlib does not provide. An indication of a failure is that either /bin/pwd -
P or /bin/pwd -L do not work.
