Odd behavior in MiNT

Okay, could someone explain this to me?

Here's my AUTO folder:
	FOLDER500.PRG
	FPATCH2.PRG
	MACCEL34.PRG
	MINT????.PRG
	BLOWBOOT.PRG

	MiNT Compiler Options	Size	BLOWBOOT.PRG
	nothing			156951	Runs
	-DONLY030		151948	Doesn't Run
	-DMULTITOS		156813	Doesn't Run
	-DONLY030 -DMULTITOS	151810	Doesn't Run

Why is it that BLOWBOOT.PRG only runs after a clean MiNT v1.12?
I'm using GEM.SYS v4.1, if that helps.
