I just tried the new Toswin today and may have discovered why it bombs.
For some reason it doesn't save the standard window columns and lines
in the config file. All I did to fix this was to manually edit the
TOSWIN.CNF file. Just copy and paste the altcol and altrow lines and then
change altcol to stdcol and altrow to stdrow. If you do another save config
from Toswin you will have to edit the config file again.
