Because each virtual workstation can have different attributes for text
and graphics. So if you have two text-windows, one with 10pt Courier and
one with 48pt VAG Rounded, it makes sense to have separate workstations
and only set font/size/attributes once instead of setting them each time
you need to redraw something.
