It does. Some versions of GEMDOS (e.g. in TOS 4.0x) do have _very_
serious bugs that can damage whole partition (by overwritting
bootsector, FATs and root directory). This happens when a partition is
nearly filled (I read an article about this on NeST).

I believe current NEWFAT is much safer than GEMDOS of Falcon TOS.
