And what advantage does this have over using Ssystem(), when available?
The original message questioned Ssystem()'s sense, because Setexc() was
'equivalent', which it isn't.  Furthermore, this method can't be used
for reading volatile pointers which aren't long aligned, as no one
guarantees that there's no task switch between the two Setexc() calls,
which might have already changed the pointer's contents. The _hz200 was
just an example.
