[MiNT] ext2fs maintanance

Hi!

I've had a brief look into the Linux 2.4.18 kernel and FreeMiNT source of 
the ext2fs driver implementation. I would like to ask how would theese 
sources be maintained and upgreaded in the future (possible important 
patches). The differences in the sources there are quite large even now. I 
was thinking about ext3 port. But I would rather stick to not to change 
the originals from the Linux kernel package than to rename e.g. each 
cpu2lexxx conversion routines and such... Can someone comment this?
