Ok, but just how does toswin support VT100. One can set tw100,
but that is not an acceptible terminal type to the far end, or
so it says, when I telnet there, using the shell toswin can
start.

have looked in toswin2 .hrd file, and changing that does not look
easy.

So just how does one set toswin2 to vt100.

For perhaps a little clarity, my problem is that my end of
whatever it is displays things that the other of whatever it is
sends that should not be displayed, and that clutters up the
display, and wordwraps things that should be on one line.

So far, using another telnet client does help.

Answers: either login console, from EasyMiNT, or toswin2 shell
starten, pppd call gbr, telnet shell.panix.com, pine. My env has
been set to vt100, without change. Pine at panix does not run
unless TERM there is set to vt100. Did that in a .login file
before even a practical connection would work. Apparently, the
setting in tsowin was passed along as to what it should do, it,
being the login shell and Pine, was not something either
understood.

I asked a simple question, if there is any answer. Where is the
source code for BSD telnet 1.5.4? Among other things, it is
configurable in a number of interesting ways, which the SpareMiNT
version is not.
