One vote for 1.15.12, as compiled by Mr. Kehr, just as it comes
from EasyMiNT, which is with no memory protection. It will not
rename to use memory protection, without causing boot problems,
or at least did not when I tried it, and if I use any other
kernel, with or without memory protection, something goes wrong,
or at least went wrong, in the boot process.

That kernel is a different length than the regular 1.15.12, and
apparently for a good reason.

What I run that is old includes LDW Power and Word Plus and
Timelink and Yukon solitaire. Everything else is new, I think.
