I simply symlinked the libs in mshort to *16-variants. It's probably not
how it's supposed to work, but I managed to compile FreeMiNT.

And does your compile run as expected? Which branch did you checkout?
And, last question: Could you explain how to make those symlinks and
what that workaround does in the end?
I guess for the cracks here its really obvious, but hey - not everyone
is such a crack :)
