So CACHENNN.PRG may only be useful with FreeMiNT when TOSFS is enabled (it uses the underlying GEMDOS file functions). Nowadays NEWFATFS is used by default, so FreeMiNT uses its own filesystem drivers, accessing block devices through XHDI. In such case, only block devices caches can be useful, such as HDDRIVER's one.

Anyway, FreeMiNT's disk cache is supposed to be efficient...
