| You are right, I'll prepare a setup to share and demonstrate the issue. It will be easier. As far as I have checked, aftp, dracftp, ftp client from command line ..., all work correctly. The issue is with Litchi / Troll and Mint 1.19 older than October 2nd 2014.

from yours and Vincent's replies it seems more like a setup problem. It's hard to help you out without some real world test case scenario. Can you give us some step by step scenario how to test it? For instance, if your scenario fails with Litchi but not with the official (command line) ftp client, it still may be your application's problem which just happened to appear now (different timings, memory map etc).
