It *is* a breeze to compile CVS. I have done so without problems. 

I haven't really tested it though, since my poor 20 Mb harddisk is
chronically overloaded.

Hmm, perhaps I should consider testing and uploading the stuff? CVS is
*really* nice when administering anything which consists of more than
one file.
