  I got the same problem with MiNT 1.10, so it might be the same in 1.12 or
MH-MINT 1.12.1, the way I got over it was to define MULTITOS while
compiling the source (dont know if you meant to do that!?!), that fixed it
in 1.10 anyway!!  I think it should be looked at, as the documentaion sayes
that MiNT should be (pref) last in the AUTO folder, but it does NOT matter
where it is, in other words it could be first or last, it should not make a
differance!!
