It's too late. It's already supported by several wide-spreaded desktops.
We can't change it.

Yes, that's true - I have just tried that. So you all are right, the
patch can't be used generally.

No, it's OK. I'll remove it from my local copy of MiNTlibs and try to
put it as separate function into my programs. But perhaps we still could
provide it as a libc function like "convert_quoted_argv(char **)".
