Which already was a false assumption, to begin wiht, as I've outlined
_many_ times.

What we're currently doing when installing KGMD is much closer to 
"starting from scratch" since we have to replace:  bin/file/text utils,
mintnet, pppd, kernel, daemons, ... Heck!  EVERYTHING in KGMD is outdated!

Sounds like a good idea.  Has thi sever been done on other Unices?
How was it implemented?
