Yes but the point I was trying to make is that I never did that. So it
looks like st52 is already included by default in some major
distributions.

I haven't tried those yet, but since I never had to add anything I
assume they will work too, unless st52 was only included in termcap and
not terminfo, but that seems a bit strange. Btw, isn't it also possible
to use your own terminfo by putting it in your homedir and pointing
$TERMINFO to it?
