[MiNT] MetaDOS compatibility broken (fwd)

In the latest MiNT version I tested (FreeMiNT 1.15.1) someone had
managed to kill off the last remnant of compatibility to MetaDOS.
(And thus also to my BetaDOS)  Good work... NOT.

It worked fine with FreeMiNT 1.15.0, but not at all with 1.15.1
Perhaps I'm missing a point here, but where is the benefit in
blocking compatibilities ?
