Hi,

I've found an Elsa Microlink 28.8TQV modem without a manual and now I
have some questions.  
I've reloaded the firmware settings into the NVRAM with "at&f" and saved
these settings with "at&w0".  To see more details about the connection I
then gave the modem "atw1".  I call my provider from a terminal program
and see

CONNECT 28800/LAPM/V42BIS

Hm, I actually expected 38400 (yes, I have chosen 38400 in the terminal
program).  Am I doing something wrong or doesn't the modem provide any
faster connection?
