Martin Eric, the kernel may be compiled with explicit -m68881, but that
wouldn't change its code. FPU code is only produced when there are
floating point calculations made, i.e. on the variable type 'float' or
'double' or whatever. The kernel does not contain any single floating
point operation, so specifying -m68881 (explicitly or by implication) does
not make a difference. The kernel does not need an FPU.
