Yes. I used to run STinG with a simple MiNT setup, before I started using 
MiNTnet. You'll need HSMODEM, which is not needed when running MiNTnet but 
is required for STiNG. HSMODEM and STiNG should run after MiNT in the 
autofolder. 

I once had mysterious crashes too. I found out it had to do with some 
configuration files that were changed by QED and saved in MAC instead of 
ATARI format. Do you have the same crashes, also when running Single TOS ?
