Could you please add such information when you write a bug report to the
bugtracker:

1) FreeMiNT version/date of CVS checkout/compilation date
2) hardware platform
3) TOS version (keyboard driver is BIOS-dependent)
4) list of TSR programs you load, if any

I write this, because you do not seem to have seen at first glance that a
report like:

> Summary: Keyboard input fails
> Description:
> I cannot type ANY text for example in my toswin2/bash shell or
> in QED. Worked fine with kernel 1.16.obeta release.

is completely useless without additional information.

Hint: MiNT is developed under MiNT. So apparently keyboard input sometimes
works, because otherwise a CVS commit couldn't be done ;-) So, additional
config information is necessary to reproduce this.

For now I can only say this: there must be some incompatibility in BIOS
keyboard handling between EmuTOS and TOS 4.04. Could TT users verify, if the
keyboard input works on TOS 3.06? If so, we could blame EmuTOS then for not
being compatible with the TOS version it claims to be compatible (2.06). If
not, we will fix FreeMiNT.
