Hrmm,

That's interesting, I'll have to check it out.  It does a very basic
string comparison in SQL so it might be sqlite to blame.  There's also a
bunch of logic to handle newer releases of same version, etc so that
could be to blame.  I'll make some testcase packages and check it out in
a couple weeks when I'm done with my current night contracting work.
