Why do you think it is a bug in 1.27 and not just coincidence that it works in 1.29 ?
Because if there was a bug in XaAES, it would most likely affect more than one single application. You are saying that Thing 1.27 is the only correctly working application in the Atari universe, and that all others are working by coincidence. I don't think this is the case.
I was looking for the changelog for Thing 1.29 to see if I could find anything that supports my theory, but I don't think I ever got it (was betatesting it around 10 years).
