I have only been using the Helmut version. It addresses most of the
issues I had with 1.16.3 alpha from 2005 that I had been using
previously.

Without knowing anything about the other versions and how much
development has been done on each, can tentatively/humbly I suggest this
for the roadmap ?

1. release the Helmut (or other) version as a full Freemint bundle.
   version 1.17.2 in mid-June

2. work towards merging one of the other versions and bug fixing
the release if anything is discovered. Aim to complete by July 31st
   as 1.17.3

3. merge the final version and bug fix as stuff arises aiming to
release by September 30th as 1.17.4

I don't know if 2 months is ambitious to merge each version but it
is good to set a date if only to keep reference.

Definately dedicate it to the memory of Frank, without him I
doubt many of us would be happily using Mint.

Peter
