Please, do not put gcc into a boot process. Gcc run (for some X stuff 
iirc)  was a part of a boot process of many linux distros and was 
recently removed becouse it was a huge slowdown. If modern machines 
can't handle it - we can't for sure.

Not to mention
 - IO time: Falcon IDE is 1MB/s at best (counting all overhead)
 - memory fragmentation (is a bitch, we know it alreade).
