Helmut, no matter how hard you push your arguments, it doesn't change a biton fact it's a total madness to ask user to compile stuff or to include a compiler (wtf, I can't even write it without double checking you are not kidding!) into the boot process just to change a *background color* of UI elements.
I don't think you have to do that. It looks like the gradients only needs to be compiled once.
