Did you doubleclick on a thing-window before? I tried to reproduce it without success (see screenshot).I am not sure what you mean ?I double-clicked on a *.txt-file to get the dialog, and everything is ok. I want to know if you did something different.
I think Peter means this: 1. Assign *.txt to several programs.2. Double-click on a txt-file. Thing will now display a dialog showing a list of programs assigned to open *.txt-files. 3. Position this dialog so that one of it's entries (e.g. "qed.app") is placed directly above a selectable item on the desktop or a desktop window. 4. Double-click on this entry. The txt-file will be opened as expected, and the object beneath the dialog will also respond to the double-click.
At least this is what I *think* Peter means. Jo Even
